What does Journey emphasise?
We focus on the teachings of Jesus, as recorded in the Bible. We prefer to call ourselves Christ Followers because we don't feel like we have arrived, rather we are living the daily grind while exploring what it means to put His teachings into practice.
We talk about our Spiritual Journey. We believe the Bible is relevant to everyone, right here and right now, but that most people don't realise it. We encourage people to pick it up, read it, and even keep a journal. If you don't have a Bible, we'll give you one - free.
We talk about our Relational Journey. Jesus said that the most important thing in our lives is our relationships. Our relationship with God, and our relationship with others. We know from first hand experience that relationships take work, so we work together on our marriages, our families, our other relationships, and our relationship with God through Christ.
We talk about our Ministry Journey. Jesus said he came to serve, not to be served. We encourage people to find a way to serve both in the church, and in the community. Some of the best fun we have, is while helping our local community.
